Creating Space from unusable space
Many people don’t really get any use at all out of their small gardens at the back of their house – perhaps they think the space is too small to do very much with and just leave it a small paved space or unlovely view. One superb way of creating what will become very usable space in your home is to have a conservatory built – though this does take space off the garden whether at the front or the back, it can also mean that the family gets real usage out of the space. You can create any type of room you want in a conservatory:
- a sunroom – it will need to face from SE to SW to benefit from the sunlight but a sunroom is a brilliant way of relaxing in natural warmth and light
- A garden room (you’ll find lots of plants will flourish in the nice warm atmosphere) and for those who haven’t had the space for a garden may find their green fingers for growing tomatoes!
- a children’s playroom or adults quiet space this can be used to complement the usage of your other rooms and give a little family privacy
- dining room- a conservatory is great for entertaining
- or even just make an extension to the living room to create a bit of spreading space
